Perfume Hub is a successful beauty product wholesaler looking to replicate their success in the B2C arena. The ecommerce site sells discount fragrances, aftershaves, hair care products and gifts.

Requirements

The client required a strong and original brand identity to differentiate themselves in what has fast become a crowded market place.

That identity had to then translate into an engaging website interface that had a strong design but ultimately made the task of purchasing discount fragrances and other beauty products as efficient as possible.

Solution

Classic Studios created a brand identity which was influenced by the style of an old fashioned perfumery with the logo utilising a classic fragrance bottle shape.

The colour palette had a definite female bias but also contained cooler tones so as to encourage the growing numbers of male consumers in this sector to use the site as well.

The website interface design continued the brand themes but also incorporated all the best practice guidelines with regards ecommerce site design as well as allowing for prominent cross promotional spaces throughout the site.

Results

The site design has been well received by the client as well as the ecommerce platform provider ShopCreator and is due to go live in March 2009.
