The Greater London Authority’s (GLA) ongoing promotion of recycling in London led them to secure a sponsorship deal with the Aardman feature film ‘Flushed Away’.
Classic Studios were approached to produce display ads that tied in with the film whilst clearly promoting the core message of encouraging Londoners to recycle.
Banners were developed that featured characters from the film appearing alongside call to actions compelling users to think about their actions and recycle more often.
As well as engaging the target audience by reinforcing the key message, the banners were also functional as they invited the user to type their postcode directly into the creative in order to find out the location of their nearest recycling facilities.
With placements on Yahoo!, MSN and MyVillage, our banner campaign saw over 50,000 people enter their postcodes in order to locate their local recycling centre.
